Smith Lake

October 3rd, 2011

I fished most of last week,  but took Saturday and Sunday to spend time with my son. As for the fishing, stripes have been real inconsistent, but the bass fishing is hot and getting better everyday. Every bass has a pot belly and is feeding, this weekends cold front should help even more.  Last week I still caught most of them on points or in areas toward the front of pockets.  With plenty still in 18-24 feet of water. Still not many fish shallow, this weekends weather will change that.  As for stripe this weekends weather should help the bite, the water temperature should drop another 5 degrees or more. Which I fell will start getting these fish more active. I will be on the water fishing with friends some of Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday before getting back to work on Thursday.  I will be posting a report Wednesday which should let you know how this last weeks weather changed things.

I have my custom bucktail jig umbrella rigs available again. Call for info, as I have plenty of options.

Also stop by Mark's Outdoor and pick up one of my flyers. November is customer apperception month. I am offering customers that take a trip with me in November.  $10 gift certificates(one per person, up to three people) for Mark's Outdoor, receive $10-$30 depending on size of party.

If you interested in booking a trip to Smith Lake, give me a call or email
