captain mike 910-619-8509 today was the most wind i think ive ever fished in, but my charter was willing to give it a try.the fist thing was to find some fish that were out of the wind.leaving out of topsail was going to be tough to do that. the icw was about 3 ft!!we took off and headed towards the back of a creek that i was catching some real nice fish in. the tide was out a bit but rising, we hooked a few 3 lb trout and 14 17 in flounder.about the time the tide got about half high i saw 2 schools of trout and reds pass us heading to there feeding grounds.about a hour later it was on! we ended up with 18 reds 15-24 in and as many 14-17 in trout as we cound boat...the wind can be a friend!!
