Wensday there were a few reports of bright Silvers being caught by the local fisherman. But I have yet to get one on my fly! Amy Jardine landed a grilse last night and he said it was a beautiful fish.

I fished in Blissfield yesterday evening and got a few trout but nothing of any size.Today I seen 2 Salmon jump below the mouth of the Cains River. And just after that Paul Michaels got into some nice brook trout from 1/2lb to 1lb range on a 4WT rod they were fun. And just above the Cains Robert Arbeau lost a huge Salmon that took his line way out into the backing. He also got a nice 2lb brook trout and a couple of Shad. There are starting to be lots of Shad around and they are very fun to catch, but hard to set the hook on! So give it a try if you get a chance.

I will try and report back tomorrow night unless the fish tire me out.

Cheers,

Rodney Colford
