Taking advantage of the long holiday weekend I once again set out at 7 AM in my quest to find quality numbers of fish. With cloudy skies, no wind and temperatures in the mid 50's, I decided to fish the rock bluffs and dirty water closer to the bridge. After more than an hour of pitching a jig, crankin both a lipless and shallow running crankbait and throwing a spinnerbait with no success, I made the decision to hit the backs of some nearby coves. Another hour had pasted and I only managed to scrape up one very small Largemouth Bass. I than moved to a point which ran out to the edge of the river channel, were I decided to try my luck with a lipless crankbait. I quickly landed 3 Largemouth Bass, 2 of which were 15" and the third went 3 pounds. By this point the wind had picked up, so I decided to call it a day, ending at 11:30 AM. As always, take care when launching and running on the lake. All ramps, with the exception of Cedar Gap are still usable and the lake level continues to drop. Stillhouse Hollow is now at almost 17 feet low.

Bio: Henry Niemiec Killeen, Texas 76542 Owner / Operator Sure Strike Guide Service and Boat Detailing surestrikeguideservice@yahoo.com www.surestrikeguideservice.com My name is Henry Niemiec, I am retired Army after 27 years, living in the Central Texas / Killeen / Ft Hood area and have been blessed with my lovely wife, three beautiful daughters. and the opportunities to now live my dream and do nothing but fish. I have fished all my life, but only started bass fishing about 20 years ago and have been tournament fishing, (mostly small, local, weekend type tournaments) now for about 15 years. After my retirement I started my own business, Sure Strike Guide Service and Boat Detailing (www.surestrikeguideservice.com) and have become much more involved in some of the larger tournaments here in Texas. Some of the tournaments trails I have fished include The American Bass Anglers Tournament Trail, The Fishers of Men Tournament Trail (The Fishers of Men Tournament Trail / adult-junior division) and The Faith Anglers Network Tournament Trail, which I am also a sponsor and The McDonald's Big Bass Splash. I have also fished the Fishing for Freedom Tournaments (take a wounded soldier fishing) and C.A.S.T for Kids Tournaments. Tournaments I am looking at getting involved in, in the up coming year are Bass Champs Tournament Trail and The Tuff Man Tournament Trail. I also write a weekly Fishing Report for Angler Web (www.angleweb.com) which covers the area lakes that I fish and guide on. I have just recently become involved with an organization called S.K.I.F.F. which stands for Soldiers\\\' Kids Involved in Fishing Fun. The program offers free children\\\'s fishing trips for deployed or deceased soldiers\\\' children. Thanks and looking forward to hearing from you. Henry Niemiec
