Twinstigator Sportfishing
Waters We Fish: Southeast Florida from Pompano Beach to Key Biscayne.
Types of Fishing: Tournament, Surf, Saltwater, Inshore, Back Country
Saltwater Target Species: Tarpon, Snook

As a native Floridian, I grew up fishing the canals and inland waterways of Fort Lauderdale. If I could reach a canal by bike or mangrove shoreline by boat, I was fishing it with reckless abandon.

As I grew older, my angling horizons expanded from the Intracoastal Waterway to the Bahamas, the U.S. Virgin Islands and beyond. I pursued all manner of saltwater species from Snapper to Sailfish to Swordfish and everything in-between.

No matter how many different species I caught and no matter how exotic the locale, my obsession would always remain with Tarpon, the “Silver King.” It didn’t matter whether we were catching 10 lb. juvenile Tarpon up in the brackish water or a 200 lb Tarpon from the beach. Wherever I could find Tarpon, that’s where I could be found.

For those who may not be familiar, Tarpon are scientifically classified as Megalops (“Big Eye”) Atlanticus and are silver in color, featuring a recognizable dorsal fin. Tarpon thrive in Southeast Florida from the brackish inland canals to beyond the coral reefs located offshore. Tarpon are sought by anglers worldwide due to their incredible strength, stamina and acrobatics once hooked. It has been said that only 10% of all hooked Tarpon are caught.

That’s not to say that I only target Tarpon. Snook are also highly-sought by anglers " sometimes more sought than Tarpon due to their table value. When you come aboard TwinstiGator Charters, we will also pursue this linesided slugger. Please note that, due to the recent Algae Bloom and Red Tide events, all Snook caught aboard TwinstiGator Charters will be released. We believe strongly in the sustainability and long-term health of the Snook population and this is one way that TwinstiGator Charters is stepping up to help.

There are a myriad of other species that we encounter, including Bonefish, Permit, Jack Crevalle, Barracuda, Ladyfish and various Shark species, among others. The time of year and marine conditions will determine which species we’ll be targeting. Please call me for more information.

I believe in customizing a trip that caters to your desires and your angling skills. I want you to have an enjoyable and memorable angling experience on the water. I also want you to come back to do it again. When you fish with me, you’re fishing with family. You are not fishing with a crusty old salt who screams and shouts at any mistake.
