I had the pleasure of fishing with the Hemingway family yet again this year. They are from Colorado and absolutely love the fishery we are blessed with here! Curtis, Shelly Girl, and Chuck jumped in the new Privateer bright and early so we could get a head start on the trout.

We fished around before getting on a decent bite. Once we got on them, it was a steady but slow bite. We milked the spot as long as we could because the fish were all nice 3-4lb. Boxed close to a dozen before we had to move again.

We then got on another good bite that was faster. The crew did a good job working the fish over while the bite lasted, and ended with a good box of fish for the day, totaling 58 speckled trout. All fish were caught with live Boogie Shrimp and Croakers, Carolina rigged.

Fishing in our area has finally busted loose and the trout are eatin' up and alot of nice trout are being caught right now, both inside and in the Sound.

If you are ready to get in on some quality trout, right NOW is the time! Call 504-259-5304 to secure your date on the books. Don't procrastinate and let this summer pass bayou!
