Housy has come way down from the super high levels from a week and a half ago. While still on the high side, clarity is much improved, and we are marginally fishable and improving. The Hendricksons started hatching in this past week, and we should start to see spinner falls anytime now. Overall, your best bets are to fish the edges of the pools with medium to large nymphs and streamers. As conditions improve over the next week or so, things could really turn on, it's that time of year. Water temps are good, running in the mid 50's the past few days. Caddis will starting hatching by early May.

We are doing a free "Housatonic River Orientation" on Saturday, April 28th at 10AM- just show up at Housatonic River Outfitters if you are interested- it will last about 3 hours, give or take.
