Gary Scott casting instructor of Scotland landed a 28lb female salmon on a dry fly, while using his 15 foot Scott Rod.

There is lots of fish being hooked from the upper stretches of Doaktown to the Lower stretches of the river near the mouth of Renous.

Today the water was raising and was still coming up very fast just before dark. Its hard to say what tomorrow will bring for fishing until we see how far it comes up tonight. The temp is still holding very good at 65 or lower. And with this raise there should be some really good fishing on the upper stretches of the river, And also alot of the tributaries like the Cains, Dungarvan and Renous River should really start getting good. For more of the catches of salmon hooked please look in the fish catches section.www.guidenb.com
