Kona fishing report for January 10, 2010

The first grander (Blue Marlin over a 1000 lbs) was landed early in January using shimano tiagra reels. It weighed in at 1048 lbs.

January (year after year)has always been a pretty good fishing for the bigger Blue Marlin. Also, this January has been excellent for Spearfish and Mahi Mahi, plus the humpback whales are beginning to show up. If you are looking for flat water, great scenery, humpback whales and a chance a a giant Blue Marlin, there is no better place in the world than Kona, Hawaii in January. Both photo are fish landed this January.
