Comments: There are many great stories we could tell you about this past week bass fishing at Lake Huites, but this one stands out: Gale Vaught and Roger Matthews both from Missouri had a day on the water yesterday that was nothing short of outstanding. They caught a total of 361 fish – the biggest bass being 8.15 lbs. and described an incredible number of largemouth over 3 lbs. Fishing up near the railroad tracks throwing against the rock walls with medium-running white Bill Dance crank baits, along with solid white willow leaf ½ oz. spinner baits, their comment was: "you could almost catch a bass every cast." We predict many more great stories to come. Over the last ten days, we have been plagued with wind, rain and cold weather but the fishing has been red hot!
