The salmon fishing on Lake Ontario is turning Red Hot!

The largest concentration of fish seems to be between Oswego & Pulaski in 70 to 120 FOW.

Run flashers & flies, in green, white & chrome / mountain Dew. Top Atomik flies have been the sweetpea, pro-am, hammer & Big Fin Glow. The fish are liking the warm water this year for some reason so don't be afraid to run your offerings up in that 60 to 70 degree water.

Not only are we catching good numbers of salmon, but they are also larger than last year's run. We are seeing fish everyday between 25 and 30 pounds.

The Bass fishing has also been really good all along the shoreline in 15-50 ft. with worms and crabs doing well.

Oneida Lake anglers are continuing to do very well walleye and bass. The deep and shallow water are both producing. Shackelton Shoals, Dutchman's Bar and Lewis Point have been especially active.

The fish are also biting on the Oswego River. Fish with worms, jigs and minnows. There is a variety of fish throughout the river including catfish, sheepshead, bass, and a few Skamania steelhead have recently entered the river. Smallmouth Bass are still very active in the harbor as well.
