Lake Ray Roberts Fishing Report,

Lake Ray Roberts is 1.70 feet over normal level and dropping slowly. Water temperature is 62 to 65 and stained on the main lake and clearing in the creeks. White bass fishing is very good with fish on deep humps, points, roads and ridges in 22 to 40 feet. The last couple days the best bite has been 35 to 38 feet deep. The only baits we use for deep sand bass are Cotton Cordell 3/4 oz. CC Spoons in chrome color with a Flies-By-Night chartreuse fly tied 14 inches above the spoon. We have a lot of birds on the lake now but they are not always active. Best way to find feeding fish is look on structure with your electronics. Give me a call or send me an email if you are looking to catch a bunch of Ray Roberts sand bass this Fall. My weekend days fill up fast this time of year so get with me soon to reserve a date for a fishing trip.

Bio: Tim is a full time licensed professional fishing guide on Lake Ray Roberts. He has been fishing all his life and for the last 35 years has been a serious bass fisherman. Having fished Lake Ray Roberts exclusively, since it opened to motor boats in 1990, he knows the lake. Prior to fishing on Lake Ray Roberts, Tim lived in East Texas spending a lot of time on Lake Palestine, Lake Athens, Cedar Creek Lake, and Lake Tyler. Fishing for largemeouth bass in the warmer months, and white bass all year round, Tim has always had an obsession with deep water structure fishing. Having spent countless hours on Lake Ray Roberts studying maps and searching the depths with electronics, he knows the the main lake structure on Lake Ray Roberts like the back of his hand. Using triangulation, he is as comfortable fishing spots in the middle of the lake as most fishermen are fishing stumps in the back of a creek.
