The bass fishing is finally starting to improve on Roberts. The water is still plenty cold, but improving. 46 to 48 degree water is what I am mainly seeing. They are still pulling water from the lake. It is less than a foot high. I hope we don't catch too much from the rain we are getting today and suppose to get tomorrow. The lake is a bit muddy, but really not bad. Can see our baits down a foot in some areas.

The best pattern we had this week was a 1/2oz trap. Either a Lucky Craft or a Sebile Flat Shad. Red was the best color as well. Some fish are coming around the grass, but secondary and main lake points with rock have produced as well. Michael came down and fished with me yesterday. He was down from Chicago for a convention. Had a really good day on size of fish. He had a 5lb 11oz and a 6lb 3oz. He says he can fish all year back home and won't catch anything close to those.

I expect some flipping fish to start to show up this week. Flipping either a beaver type bait or a jig. Black/blue or black/neon will by my first choice. I will be trying out the new Gene Larew Biffle Bug to see how those Roberts fish like them.

I still have dates available for March and April so give me a buzz and we can set something up.

Thanks

Dannie
