We had just a beautiful day out on the water on May 24th. Weather was awesome winds calm, just perfect for vertical jigging.. The fish were really snapping this morning which is always a bonus.. We caught our 5 man limit of walleye fishing the canadian side of the Detroit River (fountain). Hot bait was 5/8 oz pearl white jig with a shiner colored Fin-S minnow bait. Caught and released 12 or so smallmouth which were a blast to catch with occasional white bass and sheephead. I believe this will be my last walleye trip of the season. My real passion will be starting June 2nd. MUSKIE....hopefully I`ll have some good reports for the opener..Good Luck and tight lines Capt. Craig (www.heatwavecharters.com)
