Joel Kitchen hooked a few brook trout and one was a 3 or 4 pounder that got away while trying to get it without a net.

Ronnie Steeves landed his first Shad last night and also had several others hooked up, He said it took him out into his backing and was amazed how strong they were. And there was lots playing around and some almost hitting the boat.

Up river around the Doaktown area there were some trout being caught around the 14 to 16 inch range. Still very little sign of any big trout being caught so just maybe we are not into our big Sea Trout run yet. Still very little sign of any fresh Salmon being caught, but some have been put through the traps at the head of the river. So there are some fish moving about. I will try and post the river report tomorrow for you and hope to have better results.
