We fished the opening weekend for muskie on Lake St. Clair. Location was in Anchor Bay in 7 to 10 ft. of water. Conditions were very tough clear water, no wind and cold water temps gave the muskies lockjaw. On Sat. we went 3 for 5 the biggiest being the first of the season a 23 pound 45 incher. The hot bait for the day was a straight dark frog loke set 2 oz. 20 ft. off a planner board. On Sun. conditions were the same only adding rain. We ended up 2 for 2 with a white belly perch fingerling set 1 oz. 25 ft off a planner board catching both fish. Fishing should pick up over the next few weeks when water temps start rising.. Tight Lines !! Captain Craig.. Check us out on the web at www.heatwavecharters.com
