[Barnegat Bay,NJ] Last day of november and I had Chris Spring back out today for a steady pick of 10 stripers to 30" and 2 big bruiser blues all on live spots in just a few hour trip. Chris did an excellent job nearly hooking every striper on all the spot that were sent to the bottom.
The Defiant Is Leaving To Key Largo by Adam Alfano (10/31/2006)
[Point Pleasant,NJ] I would like to wish all the young children out there, a fun and safe Halloween!!! The Defiant will be leaving Point Pleasant New Jersey on Thursday, and will make it's 5-6 day journey to Key Largo Florida. We are hoping that ocean conditions become decent, so we can run Offshore, instead of the Intercoastal, but we shall see.

[Point Pleasant,NJ] Well it appears that this season is a wrap, due to weather our last 9 Canyon trips were cancelled as well as a few Inshore trips as the winds have stayed with us for the past few weeks. All in all it was a great season and we would like to thank all of you that fished with us this year.

[Point Pleasant,NJ] This past week we found blues that still had their roe in them so I cant say I'm 100% positive they finished their breeding cycle....but action has been fairly consistent, day or night.

[Raritan Bay,NJ] Fished the Staten Island Tuna club shark tourn with the Danny McCahon charter. Caught this Hammerhead at the Glory hole in the 9th inning (hooked @4:15 - boated @4:30). Ran full throttle all the way home at 33kts empting all ice and anything else to lighten the load. Rounded Sandy Hook at 5:52 and raced across the bay with other boats cheering us on.
