This is Jess Lubert and the pending world record False Albacore he caught on Nov 4 in the Washington Canyon on our new custom Carolina boat HOOKED UP 11 with Capt Mark DeBlasio the skipper and mate Eddie Farrell. We also had a few other tuna in the 45-65 lb yellowfins range on this trip as well as a nice 75 lb Big Eye. We are looking to go Tues-Wed and this coming weekend if the weather allows us to get out there and even try for some Giant Bluefins as well as swords. mako's, yellowfins and longfins.
Great catch and congradulations to the Jess and the crew. The fish weighed 36 lbs on the South Jersey IGFA certified scale and beat the previous world record of 35/2 lbs caught off Algeria.
