Last Friday I took Terry out on Piercy Priest for a half day trip. The fishing has been tough out there lately due to the unseasonably warm weather, but he managed to kill it out there, catching a mixed bag of largemouth and white bass! We focused on fishing flats around the Fate Sanders area.  Fish were busting the surface everywhere, but were very much dialed in to the small shad that seemed to be all over the place.  Lipless crankbaits caught a few around the schooling fish. When we were in areas with less bait, shakey head worms were working well. I did my best to show him a few new techniques as well as spots to fish. I’m sure I learned just as much from him, as he did from me. He’s definitely a damn good fisherman who knows the lake well.

Bio: Hi, my name is Rus Snyders.  I grew up in Northern California, and my passion for fishing developed at an early age.  I've fished a variety of different areas, both fresh and saltwater.  At the age of 18 I began tournament bass fishing, and competed in many circuits, including FLW, Bassmaster Opens, and the US Open.  In 2006 I began a guide service, fishing from a Ranger Z20 bass boat.  My main focus was the California Delta and Clear Lake, two of the premier destinations for bass fishing in the western US. After a couple vacations here in Nashville, I was convinced that this is where I would spend the next chapter of my life.  Not only is the fishing awesome, but the people of this great city are even more amazing.  It is a community that embraces music and has a genuine love for the great outdoors. Since moving to Tennessee in 2012, I have explored what seems like an endless amount of water, in both my kick boats and kayaks.  I have always been passionate about kick boating and kayaking, for the fact that it allows you to fish areas that are inaccessible to many other boats. In 2017 I began tournament kayak fishing, and won Angler of the Year for our club, Kayak Bass Fishing TN (KBFTN).  Though I will be doing guided fishing trips on my kayaks and bass boat at Percy Priest Lake, my main focus will be introducing kick boating to middle Tennessee.  My goal is your goal -  to make your day on the water a success.  I am passionate about having my customers catch fish, and will patiently provide instruction as needed to accomplish our goal.
