Fishing in July has some fantastic advantages here in Nuevo Vallarta.  Most anglers, Captains, families and fishermen know July is one of the best months to fish here in Mexico.  The big game fish come out to play and it all starts around July 4 th. There will be a lot of fireworks in the sky and along our coastal waters.  Along with some of the best deep sea fishing in Puerto Vallarta. We are also having a marlin and tuna this of July so you know the fishing will be good.

We have huge Marlin, sailfish, mahi-mahi, and the most sought-after yellowfin tuna just to mention a few. If you're looking for a big game action July is the month you want to be here. There is also some fantastic inshore fishing here in our bay.

The Puerto  Vallarta rainy season has already started with light rains in the evenings almost every day. Occasionally we'll have light rains in the morning but usually, they clear up around 7 or 8 in the morning.  I receive thousands of calls about the weather each month.  For some reason, the weather channel and other locations on the web have decided to put rain in our forecast every day.  It’s just the opposite.  We have sunny skies every day with light rains in the evening and offer sunny skies all day long.   These rains that we have in the evenings have a couple of effects that really heat up the fishing here in Nuevo Vallarta for the month of July. First and foremost it brings in all kinds of bait closer which in turn brings in some of the bigger fish following the mullet, sardines, and skipjack tunas. This is great because we'll be doing a lot of four and six-hour trips over the holidays like July 4th. It's always a big celebration here in beautiful Puerto  Vallarta for July 4th even though it's traditionally not celebrated in Mexico. What we would like you to celebrate is the Fantastic fishing that we have during our summer months and July is one of the better months to fish here. When you're coming down for summertime conditions you'll just have to decide if you want to have some of the incredible Bay fishing or try your hand at going offshore for some of the really big fish that we catch here for the month of July.

There are several different ways that we fish for the big marlin, tuna, and mahi-mahi. We use pitch baits, kites, lures, and skip baits to bring these fish up in our spreads. We'll be using some of our favorite places that we see year in and year out that produce these huge pelagic fish. El Morro is the closest of the places we like to fish it can be done in about 8 hours. One of the worlds most famous places is the Cortbetena and it produces some of the biggest fish of the year here. El Banco is another favorite where we catch some of the winning fish for the tournaments.  Happens year after year. The huge pelagic fish live and feed there. The deep-sea fishing trip is 50 miles out and we need a 12 to 14-hour trip to get there and fish. This underwater fishing honey hole is famous as it is located in thousands of feet of water and then comes up to a low point of 50 ft. Fishing here is almost for sure you were going to come home with a trophy fish. The fishing spot just happens to be one of our favorite places the fish with 5 to 10 lbs. baits for these huge Marlin.   Not uncommon to catch the huge Yellowfin their schooling as well. So this July if you're looking for a fun time and a great place to fish for the day we got you covered inshore of offshore fishing.

This is Captain Peter Vines and we're looking forward to seeing you out there on the water for some amazing fishing days here in the month of July.

We fish every day and that gives us a huge advantage over some of the other charter companies here. We know where the fish are biting and what it's going to take to catch them.  So please give us a heads-up on when you're coming down, what you like to fish for, and how many in your group.  I'll personally guarantee you a fun day on the water here and in beautiful Puerto  Vallarta Mexico where the friendliest people in the world live.
