Fishing has been pretty good this week with all the warm weather. Too bad mother nature is going to be ugly with us later this week. We are still 3 feet low, so I hope we get some rain. Water temps have really warmed. Found water as warm as 64 degrees. Water clarity isn't too bad either.

Some bass are starting to move up. Most of the shallow fish we have caught are still pretty light colored, like they just moved up. Fishing the shallows we are using a chartruese/white spinnerbait, a Revenge Viberator chartruese/white, and a shallow running crankbait. We have caught a few fish on a Sebile Flat Shad also. Sunday afternoon when the wind did die down, for the first time this spring it seems. We were able to get bit on a wacky rigged Zoom mag finesse worm. We are also getting some fish on a black/blue jig 1/2oz and a 8" watermelon/red lizard around some standing timber in 5 to 14 feet of water along creek channels. Did manage one big fish the last couple days. Got her on a spinnerbait in about 2 feet of water. Weighed in at 8lb 12oz's.

With this front that will slow down the shallow bite. Those fish are going to pull back out to the creek channel ledges in the standing timber. I do think we can still get some on a reaction bait. The flat shad and crank should still produce.

The sand bass have been going crazy. Actually got some yesterday and today schooling. The gulls were having a blast. It was easy to get limits. Most of them are coming on a 1oz slab bounced on the bottom. Lots of females too. Just full of eggs ready to bust.

Here are a few of my next open dates, if you are looking for a trip on Roberts this spring. March 25th, March 30th, April 1st, April 4th. I have more later on in April as well.

Thanks

Dannie
