Whitebass:

The whitebass action is very good right now with schooling fish most of the morning. Clear or silver torpedoes are producing good numbers from 200 to 300 fish in just a few hours. On most trips we are limited and off the water before it gets real hot. The dam area and on the west side, the whites have been schooling from sunup to around 10:00am (sometimes later). If your looking for some action nows your chance, Its a lot of fun.

Crappie:

The crappie fishing at Ray Roberts is good too right now. We have been catching some good numbers of crappie, usually 100 or better on a half day trip. Not all keepers but some good action. This time of year your best bait is minnows. You can catch some on jigs but not nearly as many. Most of the fish coming out of 20 to 30 ft of water. Brush Piles, bridges and timber have all been producing fish. Most of the numbers are coming from brush piles.

Good Luck and Good Fishing,

Cliff Spindle
