I had the pleasure of fishing with Tommy Hines, his son, Josh, and brother n law, Jerry. Weatherman and all forecast showed 5-10kts out the south.....WRONG! We had stiff NW winds when we got out around the edge of Eloi.

I hid us out the wind as best as possible for a while catching fish every cast on the lees. Problem was alot of throwbacks and burning bait. So we shot out to a close platform and got on a steady bite of better fish. They would come and go in spurts.

The crew went through 300 baits by 9:30, then I had them try Flurries and some other artificials but no takers. We called it a day as just as the wind laid and the heater came on ending with 55 trout. All fish were caught on live shrimp under a cork.

Fishing has been exceptional and will remain through August. If your ready to get out with your family, friends or want to entertain some clients, then give me a call to reserve a spot on the books.
