Smith Lake

Fishing 24-7 Guide Service

October 18, 2011

Hit the water early this morning, fished around rock creek today. There was little, to no top water action this morning. Saw only small spots bust and gar rolling on the top. The sun came up quick and there was no wind all morning. We tried to cover water with crankbaits and rattletraps. No much luck there, so we switched over to shakey head worms and were able to catch some fish. At ever spot we fished i used several different lures, but only had luck with the roboworms.  We took a clients boat today and had a little trouble with the trim, which keep us from making any long runs to different area's. So we made the best of it, and didn't let the small things ruin our day.

After looking at the weather, it could be a tuff bass bite over the next couple of days with the cold front coming through. It mite just be what the stripe need to get moving though. I have already booked several trips for my special in November.  So if your interested in booking a striped bass trip or bass trip and want to get $10 - $30 in Mark's Outdoor gift certificates. Call me today and book a trip for November. Also checkout my website, as I have new pictures of my hand tied umbrella rigs. I have several different kinds and weights available.
