Headed out today fishing with a good friend and working on deepwater tactics. So we thought what a better place to work on them than Smith Lake.LOL We headed out looking for bait fish and worked on dropshots and showing him how to fish the Wacky Jighead in deeper structure. We found some good "pods" of fish in about 30 feet of water and began trying to "force feed them", it took 3 stops for us to get on a school of spots that were interested but well worth the wait. We had a great day and alot of fun doing something neither of us get a chance to do alot of. After the day was over I had alot more confidence in dropshoting suspending fish and he was a believer on the Flick Shake worm and Wacky jighead. Best colors for the trip were Cola on the Flick Shake and Ayu on the Crosstail shad(drop shot). Hope everyone had a great weekend. I will be back on Guntersville in about 4 hours(LOL) getting back in the grind for 2009.

God Bless
