The Sturgeon fishing in the Hells Canyon area of the Snake River has reached the spring pre-spawn activity which usually results in some very good fishing days on the river.

We are see an increasing interest in people targeting the large fish. To compensate for this we recommend fishing week days to reduce fishing pressure on weekends. If you are looking for the best time to catch the larger fish it is now the time to set up a trip.

This area will get summer hot by the first week or two in July, be prepared for high temps and lots of sun.

This river is not for novice boat handlers, you need to read the water and have experience with some rough water.
