Quick note on fishing upcoming!

After a slow start the Strugeon fishing is starting to get better. We are seeing a few limits of nice fat fish as the ocean fish have started to nose in the river as well as the river fish moving into the area. Some anglers are still fishing the NORMAL spots for this time of year and are still not having great success. Those that are fishing areas where they go in the cold high water conditions are seeing good numbers.

No doubt as each day goes by and the water heats up so will the fishing. We have seats available thru the June 28th closure and a total of four days still open for the boat as well. The July 4th and 5th openers are available for Sturgeon keepers or Salmon/Sturgeon Combo trip.

Ocean Salmon and Catch & Release Sturgeon head line July. We expect great fishing for both and have 2-3 days each week still available for some great action in the river for Sturgeon no doubt the best month. On the ocean the coho will be in full swing and be providing limits for anglers as weather permits.

AUGUST Buoy 10: From the opener until September 15th we expect good Chinook fishing on the Columbia as well as Hot fishing for COHO. We will be booked it appears for the six week salmon feast by July 1st in most cases. We will be offering afternoon salmon trips starting August 15th until September 15th as well.

We are waiting to see if they are going to allow unclipped Coho to be kept on the coastal rivers this fall and if so the Nehalem in late September and October will be a great place to catch alot of fish and take home a large Coho. Eaqch year we land fish into the 20lb class along with chasing large fall chinooks.

Visit the website or call for more information about booking your upcoming fishing trips.

We also have a great selection of Fresh, Smoked and frozen seafood available at Jon's Market. 503-861-6070 we can ship it directly to your door. Sockeye Salmon and Tuna orders now being takin for June/July delivery.
