The Sacramento River Salmon fishing is getting better every day it seems as if the Salmon are just showing up a bit late this year but we are getting a couple fish every trip out. I was out yesterday with a couple guys and they hooked 5 Kings and landed 2 of them one was a 21lbs. male and the other was a 20lbs. Female. Back bouncing roe or Boondoggling roe has been working for me.

The Wild Rainbow Trout fishing remains fantastic on the Lower Sac. I has a group of 5 Cal. Fire fire fighters out last week for a Trout fishing trip they hooked about 60 Trout and landed about 30 of them, with over 10 of them being 3 lbs. and over, one was a big 6lbs. Wild Rainbow that did make it into the net for a picture.

We were drifting crickets and trolling small lures. This is the best time of the year to go catch a big Wild Rainbow Trout.
