LAKE RAY ROBERTS FISHING REPORT

Just when we thought the water temperature was as cold as gets, here in North Texas, it got colder.

Fishing for white bass on the main lake on Sunday the water temperature was 41 degrees. The only fishing I did all week due to the weather was on Sunday. From noon to 3:00 I had a couple of iffy bites and looked at a lot of structure spots finding fish laying right on the bottom most places and not active. From 3:00 to 5:00 I found a good bite on a hump and caught 30 sand bass and 3 big crappie. Best bait was ¼ oz. Bomber slab in chrome on 8lb. test line. A couple short hops off of the bottom and then pick the bait up 6 inches and hold it still will get you bit in this cold water. The bite is really light and a sensitive rod and light line is a must to feel most of the hits.

Have a good fishing week,

Tim
