The latest cool front delivered a lot more ducks and geese to the middle coast. Pintails, redheads and widgeon have helped complete full straps for our hunters. In regards to decoy placement , we're leaving about 6 feet between species groups. We've been outfitting some of our hunters with the Final Approach top gun ground blinds which allows us to stay very low profile. Best flights have been between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, so pack a lunch and enjoy the experience of the hunt. So many hunters get impatient and start packing it up just before the morning flights are getting good. .

As of late, wade fishing with lures has been better for reds, but trout action should start to warm back up soon as the temperatures climb. The cold front over Christmas knocked the trout down to deep water. Just today, we had a party from Laurens, SC catch limits of trout while wade fishing with lures.

This past week we welcomed several different groups from the following areas of the United States.

Denver, PA

Aurora, IL

Laurens, SC
