Went out the morning of March 31st walleye fishing on the Detroit River around Mud Island. Fishing was a little tough with NE winds at 10-15mph. Water temps. were around 43 degrees and visability was about 2ft. A standard 3/8 oz. orange jig tipped with a minnow was used for bait. Caught a limit of walleyes by vertical jigging in 15 to 30 feet of water. I had a couple of nice fish and the rest were the 2 to 3 pound males. Over the next few weeks the river should explode with great fish...
