Smith Lake

September 10th, 2011

I've been on the water the the last three days and its been hit and miss. The only thing consistent is the fog on the lake in the morning.  Friday you couldn't see 20 feet in front of you and sometimes it was a white out.  Today there was less fog, but some heavy areas. The cooler weather has not helped the stripe bite yet, but it has helped the bass bite. As I've boated  a lot of bass in the last three days.  Most of the fish are still around 25 feet in the morning. No big fish in the last three days,  fish are scattered and so is the bait. Hopefully the next couple days of sun will tighten them back up. Had some good trips, with good people this week. But no big fish and a roller coaster week with some highs and some lows. Going to watch some football and get some sleep, I am beat.

I am still running my end of summer special till the end of September. 4 hour trip $175, plus $10 each additional person. Voucher are available too, good for one year at discount price. Call if you have any questions.
