OPEN BOAT SATURDAY & SUNDAY (30th&31st)

The crew that had Saturday and Sunday booked has rescheduled

for a different weekend so now the boat is open both days. I have a couple of people on standby for Sunday that need three more to fill the boat! This may be good for you if you do not have a full boat!

The action is up and down week to week right now but over all the fishing has been very good! Some days we are catching 5-10 wahoo, even more than that some days. The tuna are around, not like we are used to this time of year, but they are around! The overnight trips are probably doing the best if you are looking for tuna. The canyon trips being the best ofcourse!

The amberjack action could not get much better and the grouper are willing to take the baits as well!!

Most of the tuna that are hitting the docks right now are coming from the canyon. The prices are different, but if you would like to make a trip, I can set you up. We have a couple of boats that can make the long trip! Call for info!

The canyon trips are producing 10-15 yellowfin with dolphin on top of that! Feels like the Lump trips, its just a whole lot farther!!!

We fished this past Saturday and Sunday! Saturday we had Clint's crew down from Shreveport. With all of the wahoo action from Friday we thought it would be much the same for Saturday and it started out that way. After the baits hit the water at 143, about 45 seconds our first strike. We boated a 60 pound wahoo, figured this would go on for a while but I was wrong. We had one more solid hook-up that ended up pulling hooks and two more hit but that was it for wahoo.

We decided to go hook up to some nice amberjack and that we did. We were able to catch a six man limit of beautiful amberjack!

Sunday started out and finished up with the most fog I have ever seen offshore! Pulled baits for wahoo with no luck. After a good three hours of looking, we pushed on to the jacks! Sunday my live bait was limited but we caught a big aj on every one that I had. We were able to pull up six nice almaco jacks and two triggers to finish the day off!

If you want to fish, Feb is always very good! We still have a good bit of dates open since we have another boat now that will be running trips with us! Call or email for any info or dates!
