Tarpon and Blacktips are cruising the sound. A couple of buddies and I have been night fishing for the last 10 days. We have had two skying Tarpon against the fullmoon which we lost both of them due to terminal tackle failures. We have hooked probably 20 Blacktips and landed 10-12 of them. The have been in the 4-6' range. I would like to think the ones we lost were bigger but it's hard to say fishing in the dark. I fished yesterday on some nearshore bottom and had one Blacktips that broke a 50# swivel and landed a 4' Hammerhead.
