Last week was a mixed week in terms of fishing. Once day we had three separate Blue Marlin strikes....and the third strike turned out to be the charm. We landed a nice 200 lb Blue after a 30 minute fight. A few days earlier, we tagged a nice 250 lb Blue along with putting a 20 lb. Mahi Mahi in the cooler. The weather and water have been absolutely beautiful this month. As a bonus the Wahoo have stayed in the waters off Kona a bit longer than usual. I have started most of my mornings by doing a quick run by the rocky point in front of the harbor for these great tasting gamefish. And twice have put a fish in the box before heading out to deeper water.
