feeling a little like spring? after the cold front that creamed the east coast, a sign of the end of cold weather? i finally got a day to fish without a ton of cloths on.the reds are still in the surf from masons to topsail inlets.the waterway up towards north topsail is still holding fish but they are lazy! after watching 5 reds pick up my gulp shrimp, run a few feet and drop it. i thought about a frozen live shrimp that i brought with me.casting infront of the slow moving school off redsand letting the bait sit still got me 7 reds,2 trout,3 flat dawgs. im going to hit the wrightsville beach area today and see what they are doing inside the waterway....stay tuned!
