Good Day Anglers. October is here and things are starting to change for the better. The weather has been cooling off somewhat and the fall migration of Bait fish is in full swing. Offshore there has been a good number of King Mackerel ranging between 5 and 15 lbs. There has also been some small Blackfin and Skipjack Tuna being caught inside 300 feet. Further offshore the Mahi-Mahi are pushing back south. These fish have gain in size and are ranging from 7 to 25 lbs. Some anglers have opted out for Sailfish but personally i think it is still to early to consistently target. We need a couple of Cold Fronts to get the bite started. The reef has been producing some good number of Yellowtail Snapper and Mutton Snapper. I had one report of 8 Mutton's caught near Triumph Reef. On the beaches and in Biscayne Bay the Mullet run is in full swing. Anglers have been catching Snook, Tarpon, and Jack Crevalle near the schools.
