The walleye bite in Ohio's portion of Lake Erie's Western Basin is as hot as it gets! Now is the time to get in some hot action in this great fishery. Charters and private sportfishermen are taking limits of walleyes in 2 or 3 hours in many areas of the basin. The bite is very good from the Toledo Water Intake to the Bass islands.

Drifters are using oen and two-hook harnesses behind in-line sinkes or on bottom bouncers (when they have enough wind) in everything from 16 to 30 feet of water. Trollers are using harnesses on bottom bounces, jets and dipsies, spoons on jets and dipsies and crank baits to take limits and more.

As long as the weather holds this hot bite shold continue.
