Walleye bite is improving!! by
Park Schafer (5/27/2008)
Walleye Fishing is Picking Up! Weather has played a role in a slow start, but fishing is starting to pick up and numbers are improving daily. A lot of wind and cool weather have kept the water temperature colder than usual. A few warm days and evenings will help.
Yellow Perch by
Park Schafer (10/02/2007)
Many limit catches of Yellow Perch are being taken East of the Kelleys Island Shoal Can in 44 to 46 ft of water. Spreaders with minnows are working the best one or two cranks off the bottom.
Lake Erie Smallmouth Bass - Erie Quest Charters by
Rick Millette (9/13/2007)
For the past two weeks, I have been making the run to the Canadian waters of Lake Erie, often times not even seeing another boat, and fishing remote shoals and rock piles for trophy Bronzebacks. We have been rewarded with a number of 70+ fish days. Most of the Smallies are 3 pound average, but there are many 4 pounders, a few 5 pounders and the occassional 6 or 7 pounder.

The walleye bite on Lake Erie is great, but when you want some different action don't forget that Lake Erie is also a premier smallmouth bass fishery.

Walleye's on the bottom by
Sib Randolph (5/24/2007)
The Fish have just got done spawning and are laying right on the bottom, with not much energy to chase a lure, so have to put it right in front of them to get a strike
