850 Pound Mako Shark Caught In Islamorada Florida

Caught aboard The Reel McCoy. With Capt. George McElveen. The 850lb mako shark was caught in Islamorada Florida which is just by Key Largo in the Florida Keys. Mako sharks are often caught while fishing for swordfish as they prey on swordfish while in a state of distress. We are not sure yet the story behind this one, but stay tuned.

    Okay wow… I was jut in Key Largo on tuesday. They said no sharks were around….glad I swam…do they bite people?
