Most fishermen were hampered by the weather over the weekend as high winds pushed big waves and clouds of mud over the reef area in Ohio reef area. Some fish were caught in tough weather conditions Friday and Saturday but Sunday's big blow really put a damper on fishing activity.

The weather outlook for this week looks very good with stable winds and temperatures. The outlook for the weak is very good with charters already reporting a better bite today in the area of the Camp Perry navigation bouys.

Fish are still in the reef areas and the nearby deeper water. The bite is in the transition period where fishermen are using jigs and/or worm harness type lures. Many fishermen are still using the big hair jigs, but a lot are switching to harnesses with bottom bouncers or in-line weights.
