[Sarasota,FL] Snook and Redfish are taking refuge from the cold in backcountry areas far from open water. The Tarpon bite in the rivers has slowed but still producing with patience. In Freshwater the Crappie fishing is improving while the Everglades is on fire right now.
[Sarasota,FL] This past week has seen some good fishing in backcountry areas associated with area rivers, especially those to the north of Sarasota. In the Everglades we are seeing great catches of Oscar, Cichlid, and Big Bass.
[Sarasota,FL] While the Juvenile Tarpon bite has slowed down a little the Snook and Redfish action is heating up in backcountry areas. Also Big Jacks, Black Drum and Sea Trout are biting well.
[Sarasota,FL] After the recent front the Redfish bite in the backcountry has been very good. The Snook and Juvenile Tarpon are cooperating late in the day as the temperatures warm the surface water.
