[Kona,HI] The Kona deep sea fishing this year has been excellent! The waters off Kona remain warmer than usual and has kept the Blue Marlin bite hot. Also the Wahoo have just shown up in good numbers and should remain excellent fishing throughout the spring. [Kona,HI] The Kona fishing this February has been excellent as the waters off Kona remain warmer than usual and has kept the Blue Marlin bite hot. Along with the Blue Marlin fishing there are also Spearfish, Striped Marlin and Mahi Mahi in the waters off Kona, Hawaii during February. The Spearfish and Striped Marlin fishing this February has been especially outstanding especially on light tackle.

[Kona,HI] Kona deep sea fishing during July and August is for Blue Marlin, Ahi, Spearfish and Wahoo. July through September is our prime time for big game fishing in Kona for Blue Marlin. It is also our tournament season, so if you are looking to fish during this time, I recommend reserving a boat early. The wonderful fishing conditions define Kona fishing. We fish flat water, close to shore for giant Blue Marlin and Ahi. Fishing in Kona is family friendly and comfortable.

[Kona,HI] The Kona deep sea fishing in May is mainly for Blue Marlin, Spearfish and Wahoo. There might also be some striped Marlin and Ahi around during the spring. May is traditionally is a big Blue Marlin month in Kona fishing...and this year has been no exception.It seems like every day one or more big marlin are weighed in or released unharmed.

[Kona,HI] The Kona sport fishing is moving into it's winter season. Kona deep sea fishing in the winter is for Blue Marlin, Mahi Mahi, striped Marlin and some of the smaller tuna species. Generally, in the winter, we have fewer Blue Marlin however their size is almost double that of the summer marlin run. Also the Mahi Mahi are beginning to move into the waters off Kona, Hawaii and should stay until early spring.

This March the Blue Marlin fishing has been very good although the Spearfish and Mahi fishing has been slower than usual. Look for very improved fishing for light tackle fish such as Spearfish, Mahi and Wahoo during April and May.
