Hot inshore for big Red Drum - Hot offshore for Little Tunny & King Mackerel (12/18/2007)
[Sarasota,FL] The fish have really been hot in the Gulf of Mexico on the near shore artificial reefs with Little Tunny, and King Mackerel on lite tackle stealing the show.

[Sarasota,FL] King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Lesser Amberjack, Barracuda, and Little Tunny have been on the near shore artificial reefs off of Sarasota.

[Sarasota,FL] It's fast and furious action this time of year on the Near Shore Reefs. Several species have arrived do to the cooler water temps and the abundance of bait. Light tackle action at it's best.

[Sarasota,FL] Fishing is improving slowly but surely with the water warming up. In just the last couple weeks I have seen temperatures as low as 56 degrees and in the back waters as high as 76 degrees.
