Fishing with the LUCKY FAMILY from Michigan off Fort Lauderdale

January 20th, 2013

WOW what a fun day on the water off the coast of Fort Lauderdale aboard the Hooked Up.

Today we took Dave, Mary, Sara and Nick out fishing or should I say catching.

Talk about our lucky day.

We started out Kite fishing and before you knew what was going on Sara was fighting a big Sailfish and I do mean a big one because after a good 20 min fight she had her 89-inch sailfish to the boat!

BUT WAIT there's more Nick did battle with a 53 that's right 53 inch SMOKER KING!!

And just to end things on the right note we made sure everyone had plenty for dinner and the tilefish were biting and they were all nice 4 to 5 pounders!

I must say that the gang from Michigan got their moneys worth today off the coast of Fort Lauderdale.

Guys thanks sooo much it really was a ball catching all these fish and we hope to see you again soon.

Having a ball Fishing with Remberto, Brain and Karl off the coast of Fort Lauderdale aboard Hooked Up

January 19th, 2013

Today we fished with Remberto, Brain and Karl.

We started out trolling the reef and out a little deeper than the reef and landed a couple of black fin tunas, a bonitos and 1 Mahia Mahia.

Ok now that the skunk was out of the box time to try for the big one.

We brought in all the trolling gear and set out our kites with live baits suspended from them.

From there it was just a matter of time till our first sailfish popped up and Remberto jumped in the chair and the fight was on.

After a good 15 to 20 min Remberto had his first sailfish to the boat and this was a big 89 incher.

O Righty then now thing were looking reel good aboard the Hooked Up and after some high fiving and some hand shaking right back out went the kites.

After a bit of waiting BAM another sail popped up and this time Karl jumped at the chance to fight a big sailfish.

10 to 15 min later Karl had caught his sail. Soon after that Brain jumped in the chair and landed a big silky shark.

I've got to say every dog has his day and today we had ours it was a ball!!!

Thanks again guys we had as much fun as you guys did!!
