Fun day on the Beach today. Matt Bourgeois brought along Michael, Matt, Ed, Clint, Michelle, and Keith for some fishing fun. Capt. Jonathan and I split the group and headed off in different directions. Capt. Jonathan headed over to Black Bay and I headed to Breton Sound. We made one stop at a wellhead and it was bent poles and screaming drags right from the start till the box could hold no more fish. Just drop a dead shrimp on a ½ ounce jig head along the rig and a big Sheepshead or Red would take it before it hit bottom. We did keep 3 of the Reds, but released a whole bunch of them that were way too big. We headed off to look for a few Trout and Capt. Jonathan came on over where we were and the action never stopped. It did not take them long to run out of room in the ice chest to put anymore Heads and Reds in. We made a couple of stops on the way back looking for some Trout and did find a few, but the big Reds must have followed us. We called it day so we could get back and clean the fish in time for some of the crew's flights out. Every one had a great time and caught lots of fish on a pretty spring day.
