BEAUTIFUL DAY IN HOPEDALE!

Nice weather and light winds along with clearer water conditions put the trout in the mood to bite again. Dave along with Bobby and Larry made the trip over from form the Miss. Coast this morning to try their luck on the Louisiana Speckled Trout. Dave said he used to be guide and knew that February can be tough some times but I assured him if we get the weather we would fair out fine. Well we got the weather. Stared out back of Hopedale in a light fog fishing the shorelines with corks and titelining and had a steady bite of quality trout going but if fizzled out. Time to move Headed Lake Robin way making a few stops catching a few but could not keep it going. Headed over around 4 Horse areas and found the spot we were looking for. Trout in 6 ft of water with the baits slow fished on the bottom. Steady action and nice fish as it got warmer I decided to try the corks and the trout loved it, corks back on fished over the flat just off the deeper water did the trick to finish up their limit 75 Trout. This was Larry's First salt water trip and first ever speckled trout. I think we hooked him into the game for sure. Any way we had blast lots of laughs and a limit of quality trout. All fish caught on Old Bayside Shadlyn's in Electric Chicken under corks and titelined.
