Fishing has been HOT this past week in Hopedale Louisiana the temperature is soaring and the trout are eating up. If you can get on them early before it gets too hot you will catch a good bunch of nice trout. The trout have been eating live shrimp either under corks or Carolina rigs at the rigs in Black Bay and Breton sound. Around the islands look for the bait Glass minnows, Shrimp, Mullets and you will find the trout. Put live a shrimp under a cork in where you find the bait and hang on. The reds have been scattered along the shorelines of the interior lakes taking shrimp under corks fished tight to the grass lines but you have to move a lot to find them. Bring plenty of water to drink wear a hat and apply sunscreen liberally because it is HOT!
