After a few tough days this week, it appears they might be here to stay.
The Proof is in the puddin!! Some real sweet fish!
We started off the week with a real monster. This one bottomed out the 30 # boga grip!!
Now the bad news. The west winds just keep howling, scattering the fish and moving the temp up & down. We continue to lose trips and get beat up. We had steady 5 & 6 foot saes today.
After a few good trips it all went into the tank today. Which way will the wind blow next? We can't get a break this year.
The fish are most active in the 50 degree water. We see them in the ice, but they bite in the warmer H2O.
Spin Dr's & Pro- Troll E-chips trolled 2.2 to 2. 6. Best colors, Green, white and chrome. Atomik flies in Glow Big-fin, B-Fly, Green glow, Hammer and the hypnotist will entice them to go.
We have been working 80 to 150 FOW East of Oswego and I hear of fish scattered throughout the entire eastern basin. If..... and this is a big if, we get some stable weather it will be big fun on the bog pond. We just need the wind to stop!
