6 hearty souls out for an overnight canyon trip.

Left at 10am wed. As we neared the canyon we trolled a bit around some surface life and grass with no luck . So we steamed off the the temperature break . Set up our slick by 7 and had our 1st sword shortly after 90lbs , Then another just keeper size. 10 pm was our 1st yft, things were slow till around 1am when all hell broke lose we had 6 on at once twice . 6 anglers and 2 of us had 20 yft to 100lbs between 1 am and 3:30 , out of 30 hooked, 2 swords and 1 20lb mahi.

live and fresh dead squid and anchovies were the hot tickets. Nada on the jigs. Props to capt. John who made a little wiggle after a brief anchor malfunction, and found the little warm eddie that held the fish
